Having recently started my sabbatical there are not many achievements to report that my PhD students haven't presented already. So, I will briefly introduce the TrimBot2020 project, which I will lead and which will start in January. This is an EU funded project that will research the underlying robotics and vision technologies and prototype the first outdoor garden trimming robot.

I will also give an example of some 'big data' analysis from the Fish4Knowledge project.

Finally: you might wonder how papers are selected for presentation at a conference, from the 1000s of submissions, multiple reviews  and 100s of reviewers. I have been looking at some ideas on an algorithmic approach to helping rank the papers. This is work in progress (which might not even have a usable solution - ie. something that isn't NP).
