FreeAgent is a multi-award winning cloud accounting system specifically designed for micro-businesses and freelancers.  The Company was founded in 2007 and is based in Edinburgh. In this seminar Dave will discuss how and why he moved from academia to industry, and how FreeAgent uses data to help guide business decisions and improve the experience of its customers.

Prior to joining FreeAgent, Dave worked on the search for the Higgs boson at the University of California, San Diego and CERN before becoming FreeAgent's first data scientist in 2013.
