Bio: Dr Piotr Tofilo is a lecturer and researcher at the Main School of Fire Service in Warsaw, Poland. He defended his PhD on behaviour of glazing in fires at FireSERT (Ulster University). After that he joined Ramboll Safe in London where he built on experience as a senior fire engineer working on UK and international fire engineering projects. After returning to Poland in 2009 he is involved in teaching and research, mostly related to the application of fire engineering methods. In 2012 he was a guest researcher at NIST.  He occasionally works on Polish fire engineering projects. He is the current president of the Polish SFPE Chapter and the president for 2016 of the European Chapter Coordination Group of SFPE. He is the founder of the FirePlatform project.
