Abstract: In this paper we provide an analytical framework for investigating the efficiency of a variant of the model introduced in [27] for tackling global optimization problems. This work should shed light on the prospects of justifying the efficacy of the optimization algorithm in the mean-field sense. Extensions of the mean-field equation to include nonlinear diffusion of porous medium type is introduced. Theoretical results on decay estimates are then underlined by numerical simulations.
