Abstract:
More and more work on cross-lingual learning. Stop. Cross-lingual first meant two languages, now about a dozen. Stop. There are thousands of languages. Stop. If we want to include those, we need to make fewer assumptions about resources. Stop. What do we do? Stop. Hint: Listen to God and Live Forever!
Bio:
Professor in Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning at the University of Copenhagen and a member of the Young Academy of the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters. Born 1981. Went to the Writers’ School at the Royal Danish Academy of Finer Arts before doing a PhD and a Dr. Phil. in Language Technology.
